Meet the Artist
I like to describe my art as the magical
process of making marks on paper that create vivid images in people’s minds. My hope is to capture beauty and depth in a way that evokes emotion. My personal experiences and faith are often reflected throughout my work. After becoming disabled from my military chaplain service in Iraq, I rediscovered my passion for art which led me on a journey of healing and resilience. My preferred mediums are charcoal in various forms such as charred willow vine, powder, compressed sticks, and various kinds of pencils, including graphite.
